Henie Kurzman, DDS

Dr. Henie Kurzman grew up in Brooklyn, New York.  She received her Bachelor of Biology and Psychology and Master of Psychology from Brooklyn College.  Since 1979 she has been residing in Southeastern Connecticut.  After graduating from New York University College of dentistry, in the same year, she became a Lieutenant in the United States Navy where she practiced dentistry for three years.

In addition to her dedication to dentistry, she also enjoys creating paintings and sculptures.  Her paintings are exhibited in the dental office.  Many of her paintings have been accepted in juried shows including the Slater Museum and the Mystic Art Center, and are found in private collections.  She has also donated her original artwork to the Mystic Art Center, the Montville Education Foundation, the ARC of New London County, and Hospice of Southeastern CT.  Her pursuit in the arts dovetails and informs her practice of dentistry.  This is especially useful in our age of cosmetically appealing results.

Peter G. Lacy, DMD

Dr. Lacy is a life-long resident of Connecticut. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Trinity College in Hartford and attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington. Upon completion of his dental degree, he served in Navy Dental Corps for five years.  He was in private practice in Jewett City for four years before joining Dr. Kurzman in Uncasville in 1987.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lacy tries to keep active in the community, especially with the administration of the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival.  He is a die-hard fan of the New York Mets and is obsessed with their winning another World Series.  He is concerned that hell may freeze over first.
